A live space mining universe, powered by $MAX. Build your fleet, mine cosmic resources, and grow through seven rarity tiers — from Common to Cosmic.
SpaceMax runs on a simple loop: ships head out, dock at asteroids, and pay out $MAX every cycle. Every crate's odds are displayed live in game — this whitepaper documents exactly those rates, prices, and formulas, no fine print.
The reference model used to price ships and crates in game is based on a total supply of 1,000,000,000 $MAX.
Each currency has a specific role — from daily fuel to rare upgrade material.
Earned directly from mining. Every active ship pays out $MAX each tick — collect it in the HUD and reinvest it in the shop, crates, and upgrades.
Rare and valuable — occasionally drops from mining and as a bonus on large collections. It's the only way to buy Cosmic ships and open the Quantum Vault.
Obtained by scrapping ships — returns Fragments and a portion of $MAX. Used together with $MAX to level up a ship.
Engines, turrets, and antennas stack up as rarity increases — click a tier to see the full details.
Large collections (1,000+ pending) also roll a chance at a Shards bonus, capped at 25 per collection.
The rates below are the same ones shown in game. Use the simulator to see a sample opening.
Illustrative simulator, runs in your browser with the same probabilities as the game — does not represent a real purchase.
Scrapping returns Fragments + $MAX; upgrading consumes $MAX + Fragments, with increasing cost per level. Adjust the fields to see the exact values used in game.
$MAX comes online first as the backbone of the economy; the mining deck then opens up to everyone.
